I can't lift anything heavier than my baby

Doctor's orders, for a couple more weeks. But at this rate, I'll be allowed to lift 6 pounds next week. That's right, we are solidly over the five pound mark and gaining steadily. And, I've been slow to report, Owen's graduated to room two. It is noisy in there! That's what happens when you're in the room where all the babies know how to breathe.

Other than that, there's generally not much to report. That's pretty much what we can expect for a while longer, though. In the meantime, pictures.
Adam has apologized profusely to Owen for gifting him with these cowlicks.

Dressed up for the fins...apparently he was bad luck, though. We tried clapping his hands together and saying "we believe in dolphins", but I guess that only works for fairies.

  1. Hmm... the Packers hat didn't do much for them either. I have a SUPERBOWL CHAMPION NEW YORK GIANTS hat and a Redskins cap sitting on my desk waiting for the mail. Perhaps I should hold them back and make a J E T S JETS JETS JETS hat instead?

    1. He actually didn't wear the Packers hat - it's a little big still. And, the Giants lost Thursday, maybe because he didn't have that hat yet? We have a whole new set of sports superstitions to figure out.

I think maybe we need to add patches - we noticed yesterday that Dolphins colors are suspiciously Sharky, and you already pointed out the Redskins/USC problem. I think Owen just doesn't know who we're making him root for.

    2. You bring up a good point. Stacey was excited when she saw the Giants hat this morning because it's currently an Avalanche hat as well.

This will take some hunting, because most patches are roughly the size of Owen's adorable, cowlicked head.

  2. ...and by the way, those cowlicks could not be any cuter.
